PCCC BPART Driver:
The Putnam County Community Center serves as a partner agency of Bureau Putnam Area Rural Transit. We currently employ two drivers and have a fleet of two minivans with hopes to expand. PCCC has an opening for one or two part time paratransit driver/s responsible for the safe, efficient transport of passengers. Applicants must be willing to work between hours of 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drivers are required to be at least 21 years of age, able to pass a DOT physical, and have a clean driving record. Previous driver experience and customer service a plus. Pre-employment drug screens and background checks are required as well as random drug testing upon employment. Drivers go through an extensive training process including CPR/First Aid, Defensive Driving, Distracted Driving, Emergency Procedures, Passenger Assistance, etc. This training program is the most intense for rural operations as stated by the Rural Transit Assistance Center (RTAC).
